Ready to go Science Club session kits

Children love science! This is especially true if the science activities are hands-on.

We have a range of ready-to-go session kits which you can use in a group of up to 16 students. So get some kids together, organise a venue for about 2 hours and book one of our activities. Suitable for 7-12 year olds. Older siblings can be enlisted as helpers.

Most of these kits need everyday items and equipment. More specialised equipment (if needed) is included in the activity kit. Each kit comes with teacher notes which contain teaching tips for the (non-scientific) organiser.

Atoms and building molecules
Children learn about atoms and the elements in the Periodic Table. They then use a molecular model building kit to build and draw a selection of common molecular compounds. They will also find out some interesting facts for a chosen element and share this information with the group.
Cost: $40 plus courier fees (see box on the right).

Forensic Science 1
This kit contains all the equipment necessary for the children to complete three different forensic science investigations. They will learn about fingerprinting, how to use chromatography to find out "whodunnit" (with a great story line) and how to work out the height of a person from their bone measurements. This is a definite favourite! Cost: $50 plus courier fees (see box on the right).

Electrical circuits - making a "Buzzer box"
Children will make their own electrical circuit with a 9V battery and a buzzer. They will use their circuit to test conductivity of a range of materials. They will then make a "buzzer box", a fun toy that tests your dexterity. Cost: $20 plus $8 postage (with return ticket). Relevant electronics equipment (buzzer, battery snap and wires) cost an extra $5 per child. Unused equipment will be refunded.
